Ladies Charity Auction Night

The Ladies Charity Auction Night went ahead on Monday 3rd December 2007, and was a great evening of fun. Bids started from a fiver and gradually grew until the guys being auctioned off raised a grand total of £279.50 from selling themselves. Congratulations to Louis who “top-scored” by raising £60 alone, although he was closely followed by Si and Wes. Rumour has it that Louis had paid people to bid for him, although he strenuously denies this. The highlight of the evening was when the young lady that had bid for Wes turned out to be his girlfriend, and had to come backstage and raid his wallet for the cash to pay up!

A huge thank you given to those at The Star, Wetherspoons in Gosport for making this happen, especially Ami, who was an absolute star, and whose help I couldn’t have done without, and to Susie our fantastic Auctioneer, and MC for the evening.

Breakdown of cash raised - £158.20 collected on Saturday 1st December whilst promoting the Auction night, £99 collected in collection tins on the evening of the Auction, and £279.50 from bids in the Auction, giving us a grand total of £536.70.
